“I can definitely say that one of my passions in life is teaching English.”

I have taught all of the General English levels (on both long and short term courses) numerous times, and I have experience teaching FCE, CAE, IELTS and Young Learners. I have also taught many one-to-one lessons, adding up to over 100 hours. I recently concluded 3 years of work with a student who I taught from Elementary, through IELTS and into a place at Bath University. I was able to end the journey with him in the completion of his Law Masters. During this time I also did a lot of proof-reading.

I am experienced in creating original materials and have also built up a large bank of portable resources. Work at Best in Bath (an independent school), meant that I was often designing curriculums and tailoring my lessons to specific students and group needs.

I am very creative as a teacher and love bringing this element into the classroom. My classes maintain a clear focus, and I take great care in ensuring that there is a joyful and comfortable atmosphere in the classroom. I believe that happy students learn and remember more, and that a positive setting is key to progress.

“Sometimes I come out of class feeling more positive than when I went in. Teaching makes me feel so happy.”
